About Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Incorporated 

Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Incorporated was founded on December 6th, 1998, at the University of Houston, Texas, by sixteen honorable national women. These women came from various backgrounds with the sole purpose of building a strong South Asian community based on the following five pillars: Sisterhood, Respect, Loyalty, Honesty, and Friendship. They saw this organization's potential to impact their respective communities by participating in community and social service projects while simultaneously helping each other prosper in all endeavors.

The purpose of Delta Phi Omega shall be to foster unity among South Asian women, build community awareness, and gain a greater understanding of oneself and others. The sorority aspires to instill leadership traits, excel in all academic endeavors, to encourage an active relationship between the sorority and its respective university, and shall do so with the utmost compassion, dignity, and fortitude.
